Day after Christmas

Marvin sums it up for us in these pictures. We are exhausted! Christmas came and went so fast for us this year. We do have to admit it's just not the same this year for us. Last year Cassidy proposed on Christmas Day and it was so much fun announcing it to the families and all of the excitement that came with it! We can't believe that we will be celebrating a year already this January. We bought this dog bed for Marvin and gave it to him as an early Christmas present and he loves it. In the background that would be a heater we got for our TV room that gets pretty cold in the winter. Marvin loves to be warm! Sometimes we have to move him because he gets so hot he almost dies of heat exhaustion.

Christmas eve we had my family come over and we played Christmas Pictionary and my dad made us laugh so hard with his interesting illustration of The Nutcracker. It was a really fun evening. Then me and Cassidy went over to his parents house and opened our Christmas pj's. His family called us about six am Christmas morning to come over and open gifts and then after that went to my parents house then to Cassidy's grandparents house that night. We were so tired that day! Now we are doing the ritual after Christmas errands. Taking stuff back for different sizes, cleaning our house because it's a mess, and deciding when to take Christmas down (I hate that part). We might head out to Vegas for New Years and California that weekend for The first Supercross race. It's a little dejavue of last year when we got married! Maybe we will renew our vows at the chapel we got married in! We hope everybody had a fabulous Christmas and a safe and happy New Year.



This was my favorite Christmas gift that I received from Cassidy's parents. The diamond is taken from Cassidy's grandma Mary's ring. She passed away about three years ago and was such a neat person. She had five diamonds set in her ring and Cassidy's parents had each diamond set in a necklace for each girl in his family. It's very ironic that there is exactly five girls in the family. It means so much to me to have this! My diamond in my wedding ring also came from one of Mary's ring that she gave to Cassidy before she passed away. I love stuff that has a history to them and I am very grateful to have both of these things.
