Help they are taking over!

We are having a little fruit fly situation. No matter how clean the apartment will be they are still around just waiting. The second you leave anything out they are on it and it's driving me crazy! If anybody knows a way to get rid of them completely please let me know I need all the help I can get with these things. The second picture is of a fruit fly magnified. Creepy!!!!

oh my gosh, we have had the same problem this year and last year around this time! They drive me crazy! I finally googled it last year and read about an apple cider vinegar mixture that really helped. I'm trying to remember it. Fill half the cup with vinager, add some water and a little sugar. Then put seranwrap or press and seal over the cup and poke some holes in it with a fork or something. The flies climb in and then can't get back out and they die. It seemed to help reduce mine!

nicole boy are you going to LOVE ME. i know the only way to get rid of them. our house was built on an orchard and we have had big problems every year. the first year was unbelievable! i have tried the vinegar trick and it does work but it won't get rid of them all. you have to kill them where they are breeding. and that is in all of your sink drains, especially the kitchen. could even be the tub. they like warm moist places, especially where food has been.
SO at night or if you are going to be gone most of the day dump pure BLEACH down each of your drains. i'm not sure exactly how much but enough to flush it good. then DON'T turn on the water for 6-8 hrs. (night works best) But make sure you close the door to your bedroom or open as many windows as you can. maybe i dumped to much...but I had major fumes. after the first night you will see a huge difference. but do it for 3-4 nights and they will be GONE!!
also keep all fruit in the fridge in the meantime.
let me know how it goes!!
PS it isn't good for the environment but it's good for your sanity :)
